Makara Torana Used in the entrance of Temples, Shrines makara throrana. The concept of Makara thrana is made of a devil in the center and two dragans by sides. The fire from the dragan enter the mounth of the devel. The protecter gods appear in the left and right sides of makara throrana. Makara thorana has allmost all forms of Sinhalese symbolic art and very complex carvings and paintings compared to any other art.
