FOOTBALL HOUSE OF SRILANKA
The Football Federation of Sri Lanka has a membership of 46 Leagues/Associations affiliated Island wide. The Council of the Federation which consists of one representative from each member Association / League is the main Advisory Body while the Executive Committee which has membership of 23 members is the Chief Executive Body of the Federation. The 13 Committees of the Federation meets to take policy decisions in connection with our activities.
After the traditional boiling of milk and lighting of the oil lamp we moved into our new "football house', at Independence Avenue. This house is well equipped and now linked to an IBM Computer Network.

The communication system has been upgraded and we now service 6 telephone lines and 3 fax lines. International and E-mail facility too has been introduced. A total of 35 Management, Secretarial and Technical staff members are employed at the Federation.

DIG Bodhi Liyanage, due to personal reasons, tendered resignation December from the
post of our President. He was elected to this post in March 2000. The Executive Committee and the Council unanimously appointed Vice President DIG Gamini Randeni to act as the President until our next Annual Congress. While we thank DIG Bodhi Liyanage for his services for the past years, we congratulate DIG Randeni on his new appointment and pledge our fullest assistance.

In giving a new image to our Federation in the millennium a new 'logo" was introduced. It is fitting that we adopt a new identity and one will be able to communicate the better essence and vision of FFSL. We Hope that the new logo will be a source of pride for all.
A 'football song' was also composed and was well received by audiences.

For the first time a colorful 'football calendar for 2002' was printed and distributed to all Officials. Leagues, Clubs players, well wishers, etc. The entire printing cost of this calendar was borne my Mr. Manilal Fernando.

Much has happened to change the face of FFSL since we were formed and even AFC has acknowledged that we are one of the most progressive Federations among it's members.
